Recently, the AI and Digitalization Group of Association of AICM successfully held the second quarter roundtable meeting in the PPG company meeting room in Shanghai. The meeting, themed “AI Applications in EHS of the Chemical Industry”.
The event kicked off with a warm welcome from Mr. Richard Ren, the EHS Director of PPG Asia Pacific, who shared safety introduction to the attendees. Subsequently, Mr. Huo Libin, Senior Manager of AICM IPAC, welcomed the participations and strong support of all member companies online and offline on behalf of AICM.
The meeting featured a keynote presentation by Mr. Chen Hao, Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Shanghai In-Road Information Technology Co., Ltd., on the topic of “AI Application Development in the Chemical Industry.” Mr. Chen provided an in-depth yet accessible introduction to various aspects of AI application in the chemical industry.
After the presentation, the meeting moved into a roundtable discussion session. Mr. Gong Yong, the leader of the AI and Digitalization Group, led the representatives in group discussions and sharing of corporate practices on three key topics: “Digitalization and AI Deployment,” “EHS Challenges and Opportunities,” and “AI Industry Collaboration and Implementation Challenges.” During the discussions, many AICM member companies noted that AI has recently been the subject of much research and some application exploration in the chemical manufacturing sector, covering various functional areas of the companies.
Moving forward, AICM will continue to monitor industry trends, assist member companies in seizing digital transformation opportunities, and achieve high-quality development.
